Take the ‘Spring into Your Step’ Challenge with the Wellness and Ergonomics Team!

To usher in its first ever Ergonomics Newsletter, the Wellness Team has created the ‘Spring in Your Step Challenge!’

As the weather warms, increasing movement and physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health. Regular physical activity can improve your brain health, strengthen bones and muscles, reduce risk of disease, and improve your ability to do everyday activities. In partnership with WCH Ergonomics, the Wellness Team is challenging WCH employees to safely add more steps in their day! Participants who successfully track 7,000 steps daily for 7 consecutive days will receive a WCH hot/cold pack. One lucky winner will even win a $20 gift card to Winners, Marshalls and/or Home Sense. The challenge comes as the WCH Ergonomics team welcomes spring with the first edition of its bi-monthly newsletter, ‘Ergonomics at WCH’ on Spring Cleaning. These newsletters are written by Injury Prevention Specialist, Heather Robinson, to provide ergonomic education to all WCH staff. Readers will learn tips on how to apply ergonomic approaches in their everyday life for movement and preventing injury.
