Though we all play our part in revolutionizing healthcare at WCH, it’s a rare moment when #TeamWCH gets a chance to come together and acknowledge that hard work. Luckily for us, the annual BBQ last Thursday provided us with a reason to celebrate all we’ve achieved in the last year!
Hundreds of physicians, staff, volunteers and community members came out to grab lunch and enjoy some sunshine. Staff cooled down with ice cream and popsicles, played with therapy dogs and donned new WCH-branded ball caps. Booths celebrating Pride Month and Indigenous Peoples Month were set up on the lawn, providing information and fun with pride buttons and learning more about Indigenous languages.
Our Strategy team provided an amazing and comprehensive introduction to our new strategy “Healthcare Revolutionized 2030” by playing peer pong, strategy spinner and diversity ducks – did you get the questions right? Winners of the Strategy raffle will receive an email, and we’ll also announce the winners in Connect.
